Rainstore Tanks are manufactured using AQUAPLATE corrugated iron material, either Zincalume, Mist Green or Paperbark.

Tanks using AQUAPLATE (APL) have a 20 year pro-rata material warranty, with tanks still in operation after 25years.




	Clever placement in relation to existing/ proposed downpipes is a factor. The location of the tank can also extend the life of the materials. Ideally the tank should be located mainly in shade, not just to keep the temperature of the water low and reduce evaporation, but also because all can be damaged by sunlight over a period of time. Near the mains water supply is sensible for tanks that will be needing mains supplementing internal uses.
